So, you want to start your own company?

Writer: Madi GMadi G

There are three things you should consider when you are contemplating starting your own company. Keep reading to discover what the three considerations are, and how they can help you make great decisions.

Being your own boss comes with some hurdles.
So, you want to be a Girl Boss!

You are tired of working for someone else. You feel like you are a renter, paying a landlord rent instead of owning your own home and paying yourself and building equity in your home investment.

You are considering the options available to you and self-employment may be on that list. For me, it was always on my list, yet for many (many) years I feared it for a lot of reasons. One of my biggest fears was having to answer the hard question - when the revenue was not there....if it was not there - what do I do? How will I survive? It is scary. It's a huge risk. Here are three things to consider when making a life-altering choice like this one.

1. Do you have experience? For example: You have worked in restaurants as waitstaff or cook for 10 years and now you want to own your own restaurant.

2. Do your research. You must do your due diligence. You must brainstorm, market research, product research, do SWOT analysis, and for heaven's sake, take time to examine all the information before you jump in and start putting your money where your mouth is, it will save you a ton of headaches down the road - trust me!

3. Know who you are. (As a business owner, person, entrepreneur, woman/man, husband/wife, parent, all of the above...know yourself.) Trust your gut always and never - I repeat - NEVER allow your ego to guide you as it will always guide you to the wrong path or in this case, business.

There you go, three simple things to consider when choosing to start your own business. Whether you want to run a restaurant, start a tour company (like yours truly) or you want to start an empire of online consulting and coaching. The sky is the limit and you can definitely succeed. There is never enough saturation of any market if you and your product are worth it. Believe in yourself and what you have to offer the world and you too can work for yourself!

See you in 2 weeks - unless the world crashes again (eek!)

Stay safe, stay HOME and God Bless you all - LOVE B!
